Cake or Painting?

I have never seen a more beautiful cake!

Or is this a painting of a cake?

Either is a work of art.

Frosting for paint & cake for canvas.

Then I looked at the background.

 I wondered if this was in fact, a painting. 

Or perhaps, a photo of the cake in front of a

painted background. 

Don't know, for sure.
