"Crying Moon"
10 x 10 acrylic on studio canvas.
This was an art challenge from the online course I am taking by Chris Brandley Art.
She uses dice with words on them and of the 5 that roll out you choose a few or all, compose and paint using the words. I chose these 4:
City Scape - Blue - Sorrow - Zooming Out
I found a way to use "sorrow" by painting a
"crying moon."
It really does tell a story, but in case you don't "get it," I painted a war-torn city scape and feel I used the words well. The situation made the moon very sad.
On to the March lesson of a frilly flower.
It looks difficult and so I did the challenge first
leaving the rest of the month to take my time on it. :)
