Now the world moves through change after the passing of Queen Elizabeth ll.
So many feelings being experienced all over the world, I can only speak for myself.
It is a loss and there is a big change ahead. Now witnessing all the events perfectly planned, as only the British can do, 96 cannon salute across London today.
Memories of Prince Phillip's funeral and Princess Diana's before that...I have been an observer from "across the pond."
I get very emotional at times like these...it's my nature. I also feel a kinship with England because my roots on my father's side came from the Cotswolds location called Wooton-Under-Edge and Kingston where my grandfather was born and raised before moving to RI. I have many pictures grandpa took as he went back at least twice that I remember...on the boat! I'll see what I can find and return here to add to this post.
Yesterday, soon after we heard the news, I went to Facebook and there were poems and art rolling in all day! I especially love this one above...there are many more but I don't want to flood my page every day with a dozen new images. I'll be watching the news until after the funeral as once again history is in the making and I want to be part of it.
My prayers are with King Charles lll, the Royal Family, and all the British people across the globe at this most difficult time.
King Charles lll now back in London is shaking hands with the people who gathered for this moment. They broke out in song,
"God Save the King."
